  1. When is Battle of the Bamboo 2023?

    Battle of the Bamboo will be hosted on February 18, 2023.

  2. Where will the event be hosted?

    Battle of the Bamboo will be hosted live and in person at: The Isadore and Sadie Dorin Forum 725 W. Roosevelt Road, Chicago, IL 

  3. Will masks be required at Battle of the Bamboo 2023?

    BOTB will not require masks during their own performance, but it is highly encouraged to be worn throughout the day (abiding by UIC guidelines as they are updated).

  4. Will vaccination status be required to participate?

    On behalf of Battle Council, we are requiring participants and audience members to be fully vaccinated. Proof will be checked prior to entrance. If you are not vaccinated, a Covid PCR test will be required. 

  5. Will masks be required during our performance?

    Battle of the Bamboo will require all performers to wear a mask during the entirety of the event, performance included.

  6. Is there a performer fee? 

    for BOTB 2023, there will be a performer fee of $15.

  7. When is the deadline to submit an application to perform?

    Form opens November 14th and closes December 18th, 2022 @ 11:59 PM CST.

  8. For out of state performers, will there be hotels provided?

    We will send school reps information about nearby hotels. It is up to the schools to reserve the hotels for their performers. BOTB is not responsible for any payments regarding schools hotel room reservations.

  9. Where can I reserve my ticket?

    We will have tickets made available via third-party website – Eventbrite.
